Amidst their historic series of four concerts at Foro Sol, the thrash metal band surprised their fans with an exclusive party at the iconic Fuck Off Room, where Resorte, one of the most emblematic bands of Mexican nu-metal, set the mood with an explosive DJ set.
Announced directly on Metallica's social media as part of the official activities during their stay in the capital, expectations were sky-high. And they did not disappoint. Juan, bassist and vocalist of Resorte, took control of the turntables, mixing powerful tracks over which José Macario, the band's guitarist, delivered live powerful performances. The magic of the night didn’t stop there; Juan not only mixed but also rapped and shouted over Resorte tracks and other hits.
The 90-minute set took the audience on a sonic journey that combined the best of different metal genres, with tracks from Fever 333, Meshuggah, Gojira, and even the Japanese phenomenon Babymetal. The night was also infused with rap-metal classics, like Rage Against the Machine, Korn, and Limp Bizkit, of course, including Metallica’s powerful anthems and some classic and recent hits from Resorte that fueled the audience's euphoria.
The party was the perfect prelude to Metallica’s final concert in CDMX, putting the finishing touch on their visit to the city. The fans who filled the Fuck Off Room experienced an unforgettable night, where Resorte proved that both on stage and behind the turntables, their energy and presence remain a reference point in the Spanish-speaking metal scene.
